Regional Center Services (Children Under 3 Years)

Children under 3 may qualify for early intervention services through regional centers.

About the Regional Center
​
· Non-profit organization operating under contract with California’s Department of Developmental Services (DDS).
· Supports children and adults with developmental delays or disabilities.
​
Developmental Disability (California Law): A condition that
​
1. Begins before the 18th birthday
2. Continues, or is expected to continue, indefinitely
3. Causes significant challenges in three or more functional life areas
4. Results from conditions such as:
a. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
b. Cerebral palsy
c. Epilepsy
d. Intellectual disability

Services for Children Over 3 Years

Children aged 3 and older may be eligible for speech therapy through their local school district under special education or related services. Contact your school district to determine eligibility and enrollment options.

Private Pay
​
· Families may choose to pay privately for therapy sessions.
· Payment is collected at the time of service or as otherwise arranged.
· Receipts are provided for out-of-network insurance reimbursement, if applicable.

Insurance Coverage
​
· Bright Speech Therapy Inc. is not an in-network provider with any insurance companies.
· Many insurance plans offer out-of-network reimbursement.
​
To pursue reimbursement:
​
o Contact your insurance company directly (number on your card).
o Confirm coverage for out-of-network speech therapy services.
o Submit a receipt from Bright Speech Therapy Inc. (also called a SuperBill) listing procedure and diagnosis codes.
Important: Bright Speech Therapy Inc. cannot communicate directly with insurance companies or submit claims on behalf of families.
